Periodontal Disease

Periodontal disease is an infectious gum disorder that affects the gums and surrounding tissues. It’s caused by a buildup of plaque on the teeth and gums due to poor oral hygiene. Plaque is a sticky film composed of bacteria, saliva, and food particles that cling to your teeth. When plaque isn’t removed from your teeth daily, it can harden into tartar (calculus), which causes inflammation in the gums, leading to periodontal disease.

Dental Services

The dental implant is an artificial dental root that is constructed from titanium base which is the only bio-compatible material that can be integrated in the jaw bone. In dentistry they are used many years now to replace missing teeth. They are many dental implants however in our practice we use only use implants from well known companies with bibliografic reviews that report 98% success rates!
The placement of an implant requires healthy and adequate bone. However, many patients due to multiple extractions in an early age or even for anatomic reasons do not satisfy the minimum bone requirements. In our practice due to contemporary methods of bone regeneration we succeed in the dental reconstruction even in the most difficult cases. Some of our techniques include digital planning our treatment as well as the use of autologous grafts with growth factors and stem cells from the patient’s blood. As a result a full mouth rehabilitation is now possible in only a few appointments with an immediate load of the implants!

PROSTHODONTICS ON TEETH is the specialisation in dentistry that focuses on reconstruction of teeth with artificial materials. Those are the crowns, fixed dental bridges , onlays and removable dentures partial or full.
Full porcelain crowns
ull porcelain crowns are highly aesthetic restorations, totally bio-compatible that are used to restore damaged teeth from decay, wear or cracks. They came to replace the old fashioned (PFM) crowns that due to the metal core they have poor aesthetics that tend to show a gray discoloration on the tooth around the margins and are unsuitable to patients with allergies in metal components.

Fixed dental bridges are used to replace one or more missing teeth. A bridge is being attached on the teeth before and after the gap and support the bridge. It is not being removed and for that purpose the supportive teeth are reduced in size slightly. They play an important role in dentistry as missing teeth should always be replaced in order to keep the masticatory function, speech and occlusion of the mouth in a stability. When a tooth is being extracted, the opponent tooth and the teeth approximately to it tend to lean towards the space creating a complete disoraganisation of the dental arch. A highly aesthetic result can be achieved due to the all-ceramic materials that can be used.

The onlays and overlays are conservative restorations as the teeth are minimally prepared. They are made in the lab from ceramic or composite and are strongly cemented to damaged teeth. They have excellent aesthetics.

Dentures are removable prosthetic restorations designed to replace missing teeth and the surrounding tissues (gum and bone).
There are three main types:
The Partial Denture replaces the missing teeth, resting on the natural teeth that are also present in the gum lining. This increases stability and retention and reduces alveolar bone resorption.
Complete Dentures replace all teeth and can be placed immediately (direct complete dentures) after natural teeth are removed or after a period of healing (indirect complete dentures).
Dental Onlay restores the entire dental arch and rests on 2 or more remaining teeth or tooth roots or implants.

Your smile is the first impression others have of you.
At our dental office, we are able to transform your smile, shape, color, alignment, as well as fill potential gaps and discreetly restore worn or damaged teeth with tooth-colored fillings.

Resin veneers are aesthetic restorations with minimal intervention to correct tooth imperfections (shape, size, deviation, color, closing gaps, etc.). They require little or no grinding of the teeth which gives them the great advantage of not causing damage to the teeth. The procedure is painless and does not require the administration of local anesthesia. The material used is similar to that of white fillings and the shade is chosen to match the color of your teeth for a natural result. They are made by the dentist and are usually completed in one session.

Porcelain veneers are highly aesthetic restorations aimed at correcting smile imperfections (shape, size, deviation, color, closing gaps, etc.). They are also minimally invasive and the procedure usually does not require the administration of local anesthesia. They are manufactured in the dental laboratory and permanently bonded in the dental office. They usually require 2 sessions to complete.

Cosmetic gum surgery concerns the harmonious ratio of teeth - gums, which is a determining factor for a beautiful smile. When the ratio of the gums is greater then the smile becomes disharmonious (gum smile). The removal of the gums is done painlessly and almost bloodlessly with the use of a laser and the result is an aesthetic and harmonious smile.
